Good food + Great Music + Amazing Fireworks + Beautiful riverfront =One Fantastic Festival!

Bellevue’s premier Community Festival RiverFest: Red, Whit & Que is an annual festival that began in 2002.  RiverFest is held at Bellevue’s beautiful riverfront Haworth Park located on the Missouri River near down-town Bellevue.  The festival has three key elements:

Nebraska State BBQ Championship

The Championship is a Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) sanctioned barbeque  competition that draws more than 70 teams from across the country to the community.

Live Music

The festival boasts a huge stage with live music both Friday & Saturday night featuring local and regional bands.

Fireworks

Each year J & M Fireworks produces the most powerful fireworks show you’ve ever seen!  Traditionally held on Saturday night at dark it is the highlight of the festival.

KidZone

The Festival sets aside Saturday morning for kids activities, have breakfast with the Pancake Man, enjoy bouncy entertainment and maybe even some pony rides.  The KidZone is open from 8am – 1pm.

Other activities include: Pancake Man, Car Shine & Show, Arts & Craft Fair, Karaoke Competition, Poker Run and a Miller Beer Garden.

RiverFest is coordinated by the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce and the City of Bellevue and is free and open to the public.  The only thing you’ll need money for is eating, drinking and purchasing.  No coolers or beverages may be brought onto the peninsula.

Offutt Open House

The Annual Offutt Open House is held every August at Offutt AFB.  The open house hosts an amazing air show along with impressive static displays.  The open house includes all of the traditional food, beverage and commercial vendors.

Nebraska’s Official Veterans Parade

Bellevue Nebraska is home to the 4th largest military installation in the United States which is why it’s such a natural fit for Bellevue to host Nebraska’s Official Veterans Parade.  Traditionally the parade is held the Saturday prior to Veteran’s Day, unless Veteran’s Day happens to fall on a Saturday.  The parade will be held Saturday, November 10, 2007 in  Olde Towne Bellevue.  The parade kick’s off with a fly-over which is one of the great surprises because it’s a different plan every year.  The parade also features more than 100 entries ranging from veterans organizations, businesses and civic organizations.  Offutt AFB and the tenant units also participate with impressive military displays.
